Seabourn Expeditions

One of the biggest reasons guests take in an expedition voyage is to admire the incredible wildlife that exists in remote locations. Seabourn Expeditions charts a course in ultra-luxury expedition cruising, exploring wonderous remote destinations paired with and outstanding in comfort and style. Head into the heart of rugged landscapes that brim with amazing wildlife, getting up close while out on guided nature walks, splashing across the water’s surface on a Zodiac® excursion, or diving deep below in a submarine.

In Arctic Canada, guests may witness the plethora of species that thrive including pulsating jellyfish, cod, sculpins, and sea angels. In the Kimberley, visitors may see the short-eared rock wallaby, white-bellied sea eagle and one or more of the 35,000 humpback whales living here. Snorkeling will open your eyes to the colorful underwater world in warm-water destinations. Expedition Team members can help beginners get started and show guests the best snorkeling spots. An array of available masks, snorkels, and fins assures everyone a good fit.

The Seabourn Expedition Team is a select group of academics, scientists, and general naturalists who share your passion for exploring and learning about the world’s remote regions. On board, they provide expert insights into the biodiversity, ecosystems, physical science, history, and culture of the places you visit in formal Seabourn Conversations presentations and casual discussions over meals or at leisure.

Led by Expedition team experts, Seabourn expeditions include many onshore excursions at ports of call like guided city tours, hiking local trails, and sharing the history and culture of these remarkable regions. Other sightseeing opportunities may also be reserved for an additional charge.  Zodiac boats deliver guests to untouched coral reefs, far-flung icy shores and through scenic passages up towering fjords, past breaching whales and stately icebergs.

Two six-person submarines offer unique and unforgettable undersea experiences to Seabourn Venture and Seabourn Pursuit guests. Operated by experienced and licensed Expedition Team submarine pilots, these engineering marvels are capable of transporting guests beneath Antarctic waters, underwater cliffs in fjords, or reef walls teeming with sea life.
